Ups & downs but kind/helpful customer service This was a massive mess and with the complaints flowing from all directions, I'd recommend buying from a more reputable company who prioritizes customer service and safety! Based one the disappointment by many, I am holding out hope for a refund. As FORTs land on doorsteps the safety issues are alarming and what's worse was Conor's response to the issues. This was not a donation and if the company cannot follow through with their offer to provide refunds they can let me know when I should expect to see the product I backed. Instead, he told backers they needed to pay an additional $99.00 to get their FORT "ASAP." I opted for a refund nearly 2 months ago and have yet to see my money returned or a response on getting my FORT if refunds are not possible. In addition to that, he didn't fulfill Kickstart orders prior to selling at retail, which comes with free shipping. The original plan for the FORT changed (magnet adhesion, zippers, covers) making it not the product many signed up for. As time went on, and shipping delays became a big issues, so did the communication from this company to the people who supported his idea. This company started out looking promising and that's why I backed this idea via Kickstarter. If you are considering buying a FORT, just turn around and run. He is withholding refunds and continues to ask for more money while posting online about how he is spending the funds that he is now trying to recoup by demanding more money. He is refusing to respond to emails and messages on multiple platforms. Magnets repel, covers have been ripped and torn upon arrival, proper safety measures have not been followed. The magnets that were promised to be larger than a quarter and the same size and can easily be swallowed, especially since they are loose and unsecured. Magnets have been loose, missing, and unsecured. After sending out, in his words, over 3500 units, hundreds of units have been defective and unsafe. He refuses to answer emails, Instagram and Facebook messages, and is blocking/archiving his accounts instead of taking accountability and refunding the millions of dollars he has scammed from hardworking families. It’s been almost a year and the only people who have received their product are Instagram influencers. The Facebook group is also a great source of info, with the creator, Conor hopping on regularly to answer questions, give demonstrations, etc.Connor continuously asks for more money, without shipping any part of the order out. They’ll send you all the info you need on how to order through kickstarter, ideas on different builds, and more. The best way to learn more is to register for the newsletter here. You can also order The FORT sans magnets if you prefer. Based on the more than 12k people in their Facebook group, it seems pretty likely that their kickstarter is gonna get funded. The FORT launches on kickstarter January 26th, and as a backer you will get to order The FORT for 45% off of the retail price, which puts it at less than the cost of all of the competitors. Yes! Magnets! What could possibly be better for play time than adding in magnets to the mix? They will also have awesome accessories like a magnetic light and blanket to take your fort building to the next level. ![]() The FORT- Not only does it have more pieces that its competitors, but it has MAGNETS. But with knock off items and alternatives hitting the market, maybe its a good time to re-assess if the original play couch is really the best? It seems that Nugget Comfort is finally catching up with their production since moving to a much larger facility and are now offering a backorder option with items expected to ship by the end of April. The lotto didn’t get you a free nugget, just the opportunity to order one. ![]() For a couch that sells for $229 new, that’s a big problem.īefore Christmas this year, they actually created a lottery system to draw names so that customers could get a private purchase link and order in time for Christmas. Buy/Sell/Trade groups started popping up on Facebook all of a sudden, used ones were popping up for more than double their retail value. As more parents discovered this wildly popular item, so did resellers. Influencers and even Tik Tok (#NuggetTok) has hyped it even more. Which just made the allure of the Nugget couch grow. Every few months, Nugget’s website would offer a re-stock, and within minutes would sell out. It took off like a rocket, raising more than $65k over their goal, and for years, the company has been trying to keep up with the immense amount of demand. In 2014, Nugget Comfort launched a kickstarter to fund the creation of their four piece, foam couch.
